Description: Just as a website is required for all non-profits, the capability to give online is no longer optional.  To maximize the number of online gifts, it’s important that your website clearly states your non-profit’s mission, goals, and work and how money from donations will be used.
 
Benefits:
  • Setting up an online giving form provides convenience for the donor since they are able to give at any time (not only when the office is open). 
  • Administrative costs are lower since office staff save time otherwise spent by manually collecting donor information and processing donations. 
  • History of donations are saved in a database for easy recall. 
Form Setup
 
Pre Setup Questions:
  • Name of the link on website: (i.e. donation, contribution, giving, etc.)
  • Description of how money will be used
  • Organization contact person, email address and phone number
  • Text for notification email sent after online donation is made.
  • Payment methods: Credit Card/Accept Checks/Bill the Account
  • List of funds available for direct donation (i.e. scholarship, building, etc.)
  • Dedication Options: (i.e. in honor of, in memory of, to congratulate, in celebration of, etc.)
  • Will there be an option to send a tribute card to a person on the occasion of the donation?
  • Donation amount:  Will donation amount options be set amounts or any amount that the donor would like to make or both?
