Honoring Rabbi Benyamin Weinschneider

Rabbi Benyamin Weinshneider was studying in the kollel at Ner Israel in Baltimore, when he was recommended to Ahavas Sholom as a Ba'al Tefilah for various services on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Our congregation loved his davening and has invited him back every year for the past 18 years. We are now celebrating 18 Years of his inspiring Tefillos. 

Our members got to know Rabbi Weinshneider, and he got to know our Columbus community. We were impressed with his Torah knowledge, and he and Ahuva's friendliness, warmth, and good nature. When a position opened up in the Columbus Community Kollel in 2009, the Rabbi joined the Kollel, where he learned and taught from September 2009 to August 2016. 

Our community was thrilled when Rabbi and Ahuva Weinshneider decided to stay in Columbus after leaving the Kollel. They are a wonderful couple with a beloved family.

After leaving the Kollel, the Rabbi served as an administrator in training at the Wexner Heritage Village, and is now the administrator of a rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility in Dayton.

Ba’al Tefilah during the Yomim Noraim.

It’s a celebration not only of Rabbi Weinschneider’s heartfelt, uplifting Tefilos that have inspired and moved our community year after year, but also a time to reflect on the tremendous miracles we've recently witnessed, thanking Hashem for His blessings and praying for the continued success of our beloved community.
