The American Society for Yad Vashem was established nearly 40 years ago by a group of visionary Holocaust survivors to advance the crucial efforts of Yad Vashem, The World Holocaust Remembrance Center. Through Holocaust education, traveling exhibitions, programming for the next generation and philanthropy, the American Society for Yad Vashem is proud to have over 65,000 passionate supporters throughout the United States.
Since its founding sixty-seven years ago, Yad Vashem, The World Holocaust Remembrance Center in Jerusalem, has become the ultimate source for Holocaust remembrance, education, documentation and research throughout the world. Courageously confronting the annals of Nazi evil, it serves as the conscience of humanity and the voice of the Jewish people in the vital endeavor to transmit the history and the significance of the Holocaust to future generations.
As the responsibility for preserving the memory of the Holocaust passes from the remaining survivors to younger generations. Yad Vashem’s landmark Holocaust History Museum. International School for Holocaust Studies, Archives, and Research Institute provide the world with essential knowledge and insight regarding the cataclysmic events of the period.
