Dear Rabbi Zucker,
As BPY marks this special moment in your honor, we do so with deep gratitude and admiration for a lifetime of leadership and service. For decades you have served as a mentor to so many and a true light to the field of Jewish education. You have led by example, setting a standard of integrity, thoughtfulness, and devotion that has shaped not only institutions, but people.
Your leadership has always been marked by rare balance: wisdom and decisiveness, alongside genuine sensitivity and care. You see the big picture while never losing sight of the individual. You bring clarity to complex situations, and you do so with a calm strength that inspires trust.
Most of all, you are a true talmid chacham. Torah is not simply something you teach or represent. It is your identity, and it is evident in every decision you make and every lens through which you evaluate circumstances, whether monumental or seemingly small. Your Torah has elevated BPY, guiding the school with purpose, humility, and vision.
Through your years at BPY, you have built something truly special: a school defined by warmth, Torah growth, excellence, and a deep commitment to nurturing our students in every way. On a personal level, working closely with you these past two years has been an enormous blessing. You have helped my transition immeasurably, and I have learned and continue to learn so much from your approach, your perspective, and your wise counsel.
Although your chapter as Head of School at BPY is coming to a close, I am excited to watch and be inspired by your continued impact on the broader world of Jewish education. I feel fortunate to count you as a friend, confidant, and mentor.

On February 19, Rabbi Saul Zucker was asked to remove himself from his place of residence (and show up at the BPY Annual Dinner). That request came from his coworkers, parent body, and admirers.
