Evelyn Ann Travitsky has been a member of Sisterhood Beth Shalom of Kingsbay for over 30 years. She has been a member of the Sisterhood Board for 7 years and was Recording Secretary for 4 years. Evelyn has always been an active member of Sisterhood. She is extremely involved in our event planning. Evelyn and her family attend all our fundraisers and contribute generously. Evelyn is also a member of NA'AMAT USA, National Council of Jewish Women, and the Kingsbay YM-YWHA.

 
Evelyn is a licensed New York City school teacher. She has worked in both public and private schools in Brooklyn. Evelyn is very well known in the neighborhood for her volunteer work. She has been a volunteer at our local Brooklyn Public Library branches for many years. Evelyn also enjoys creating gifts for friends with her beautiful needlepoint work.  

Evelyn and her husband, Mark, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. They are the proud parents of Stephanie and Peter. Stephanie is a librarian and has a Master's Degree; she works at the Brooklyn Public Library. Peter is an accomplished attorney.
