Carol Hauser
Woman of AchievementPlainview Jewish Center
Carol Hauser is honored to accept this year’s Woman of Achievement Award on behalf of Plainview Jewish Center Sisterhood.
Born in Whitestone, Queens, Carol grew up in Flushing and is still a devoted Mets fan. Synagogue, USY and Camp Ramah were an integral part of her youth. She graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and worked in the field for many years.
Carol is truly thankful for the continuous support and encouragement from her husband, Alan, for the past 35 years, and from her two amazing daughters, Marissa and Jessica.
She enjoys serving Plainview Jewish Center Sisterhood in various roles, including as membership vice president, publicity and communications chairperson, and as a contributing member of the Shalach Manot Committee for many years. This past year, she organized a most successful “Cookie in the Sukkie” to celebrate Sukkot. She has been a dedicated Sisterhood member for over 20 years and is always willing to lend a helping hand.
Her mother, Audrey Citak, of blessed memory, was a past national president of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism. She was Carol’s inspiration, role model, and someone she viewed as a true woman of valor. Once again, with Momma Citak smiling from above, she is truly honored to receive this year’s Woman of Achievement Award on behalf of Plainview Jewish Center Sisterhood.
