Dear Woman of Achievement Honorees, L’Dor V’Dor Awards Recipients, Gala Guests, and the incoming 2026-2029 Executive Committee and Board of Directors, 

 

Welcome to the BQLI Region of WLCJ Woman of Achievement Gala. Have a wonderful evening! 

 

How marvelous to pay tribute to the accomplishments of 22 honorees including 3 recipients of the L’Dor V’Dor award. We recognize and celebrate the many gifts you impart upon your synagogue and Sisterhood Affiliate communities.

 

Proud to be members of our Sisterhood Affiliates in Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk Counties), individual members, and members of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism, we strengthen our ties to Judaism, our love for Israel, and our own synagogue communities.

 

Our WOA program focuses on our exemplary honorees and installs our incoming Board. Our many accomplishments, knowledge, and time have helped to create strong Sisterhood Affiliates and a robust BQLI Region that further the mission of WLCJ to engage, enrich and empower Jewish women.

 

Thank you to Julia Loeb, WLCJ International President, for joining us tonight as we acclaim the contributions of the honorees. 

 

Much gratitude to the dedicated, cohesive group of volunteers who have worked for months to ensure that this dinner and awards ceremony would flow seamlessly.  Your attention to detail and focus shining on each individual's accomplishments is outstanding. Thank you to Elaina Corwin and Ellen Multer, WOA Co-Chairs, Bonnie Panzok, BQLI Region VP Ways and Means, and committee members, Vicki Granek, Jani Majewski, Grace Schessler, Robyn Shear, Miriam Silverman, and Dina Yakar.

In awe of the women who have come before me, in honor of those coming after me, and to those who are being honored, I am fortunate to continue to work with the amazing women on the incoming 2026-2029 Region Executive Committee and Board of Directors as Immediate Past President.

 

As the 2025-2026 Torah Fund campaign Oseh Shalom is ending, remember that our perseverance helps to ensure that peace is spread over Israel, always.
