Eva Warshaw
Joseph Tammam Memorial Youth Community Service Scholarship Award

Eva Warshaw is a senior at Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School and a dedicated young leader whose commitment to community and service has been shaped by her experiences growing up in Springfield. Being the only girl her age in town for much of her life taught Eva that meaningful connection is rooted in shared values, not numbers.

At RKYHS, Eva has taken on responsibilities that reflect this commitment. She serves on the school’s Blood Drive Committee, recruiting donors and coordinating volunteers; contributes to the Hair Drive Committee, collecting hair donations for those experiencing medical hair loss; and supports Kids Against Cancer, assisting with fundraising and awareness efforts for children and families facing serious illness.

Outside of school, Eva volunteers with the CIS youth, leading activities and supporting younger children. Her leadership is often quiet and steady, focused on encouraging others, listening and making people feel seen and supported. This consistent dedication underscores her impact and reflects a deep commitment to community.

A recent trip to Israel with her grandparents strengthened Eva’s connection to the land and people of Israel. She plans to study in seminary in Israel next year, aiming to grow in her connection to Torah and community before continuing with a college education.

Eva is deeply grateful to her family, school and shul community for nurturing the values she holds dear. She is honored to be selected by the Tammam family for the Joseph Tammam Memorial Youth Community Service Scholarship and is inspired and motivated by this year’s dinner honorees, whose level of commitment she hopes to reflect in her own ongoing involvement.
