Shifra and Dani Bendheim
Dor L'Dor Award
Shifra (Drazin) and Dani are residents of Teaneck, New Jersey. Shifra is a social worker and Dani is a Director and Executive Vice President at Phibro Animal Health Corporation. They are the proud parents of Charlie, Sam, Leebee, Arielle, and Sophie. Shifra is on the presidium of the Emunah Libby Kolb Chapter, has helped to organize various events including boutiques, the cookbook luncheon, and many Emunah Teas. Chesed is very important to Shifra and Dani. They both have been involved with Yeshivat Noam and Frisch and have assumed leadership roles in a variety of communal organizations. Dani is on the board of the Hebrew Free Loan Society.
Shifra and Dani’s dedication to Emunah is not theirs alone. Shifra is originally from Montreal, Canada. Her family, the Drazins, are members of Emunah Canada who support and generously give their time to the Emunah. Shifra says “Volunteering my time and supporting Emunah came naturally to me as my family in Montreal has been very involved and supportive of Emunah for many years and over several generations. I grew up learning about the important work Emunah does in Israel and seeing its impact on the vulnerable children in Israel. I witnessed my parents, aunts uncles, and siblings dedicating themselves to helping the children of Emunah.”

The familys involvement in Emunah has now made its way to the next generation. Shifra and Dani’s son Sam has followed in his parents’ footsteps and has volunteered on the Kol Hanearim summer program in Emunah’s residential homes. Sam gave his time to be a counselor in the home and was deeply impacted by the relationships he formed with the children at-risk living in the residential homes.
Emunah of America is proud and honored to have Shifra and Dani as this year’s Dor L’Dor recipients. Shifra and Dani’s unwavering commitment to Emunah of America is truly a gift to our organization, and their love for Israel and the children and families of Emunah is inspiring!
