Michael Hollander
Rabbanit Sarah Herzog Award
Michael Hollander is a Montréal lawyer with nearly 20 years of legal experience. He currently practises civil and commercial litigation at Spiegel Ryan, where he brings persistence and a practical approach to the challenges before him.
Michael is a staunch community advocate who believes that standing up for others means turning conviction into action. His commitment to the Jewish community extends beyond his professional practice. Michael supports students and community organizations confronting antisemitism and discrimination, with particular concern for the safety and dignity of CEGEP and university students. He believes that no student should have to face these challenges alone and that institutions must be held to the standards they promise to uphold.
Michael is a husband and father of four children, who are his raison d’être. He also serves as vice-president of Ronnie’s Joy Foundation, which he co-founded with his wife, Dahlia, in memory of their daughter Ronnie, who passed away suddenly at a young age. Over the years, Michael has held various community board leadership positions.
Across his personal and professional commitments, his approach remains consistent: listen carefully, speak up when it matters and always follow through.
