Richard Weisman and his wife Jill have been members of Congregation Beth Emeth (CBE) in Herndon, VA, for approximately 30 years. Their two children, Jeffrey and Samantha, graduated from CBE’s religious school and became Bar and Bat Mitzvah at CBE. Rich has been active in several committees including serving as a CBE board member for the last 6 years. He previously served as a president of Men’s Club, chair of the Long-Range Planning Committee, and as a member of the Communications Committee. He is currently serving as a co-chair of the Social Action and Community Relations Committee and has done so for the last four years. Under Rich’s leadership, the CBE Social Action Committee has been active in helping to address food insecurity in the local community and supporting Jewish organizations locally and nationally. Rich recently retired following a lengthy career in the federal government and is enjoying volunteering for various community organizations and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
