Jeffrey Grill
Congregation Beth El (Bethesda)
Jeffrey Grill and his family (Arielle and their children, Jason, Noah and Adam) joined Congregation Beth El of Montgomery County, MD in 2004, the same year in which Jeffrey joined the Men’s Club. As an active member of Beth El, Jeffrey first joined the Beth El Board in 2009, where he served until 2013. Jeffrey served on various ad hoc committees, including a Long-Range Development Committee from 2009-2010 and a Clergy Planning Committee that recommended the appointment of Rabbi Greg Harris as Senior Rabbi in 2014. In 2011, Jeffrey and Arielle served as co-chairs of the Gala, Beth El’s annual major fundraising event.
Beginning in 2010, Jeffrey’s primary contributions to Beth El have been
focused in the areas of accounting, finance and investments. For the past 16 years, Jeffrey has served as a member of the Finance Committee, where he has helped develop Beth El’s annual operating budget. For the past 14 years, Jeffrey has served as Treasurer of the Beth El Men’s Club. In this role, he manages budgeting, event accounting, and bill payments, ensuring that Men’s Club programs and initiatives are responsibly funded and sustainably managed.
In 2023, Jeffrey re-joined the Beth El Board and was elected to serve as the shul’s Treasurer. In this role, he oversees Beth El’s budgeting, financial reporting, and long-term fiscal planning, ensuring transparency, accountability, and responsible management of communal resources.
Professionally, Jeffrey is a partner at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, a global full-service law firm of over 700 attorneys. He specializes in corporate and securities law and has a great deal of experience in general corporate, commercial and financial matters.
Additionally, he and Arielle are contributors to, and actively involved with, the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, the Jewish Federation of Greater Naples (FL), the Bender JCC of Greater Washington, Capital Camps and Retreat Center, and Temple Shalom (Naples, FL).
