Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, welcome to the Gottesman RTW Academy Gala, celebrating 55 years of superb education, honoring our alumni, and giving special honor to Bill Rubenstein, Andrew Rubenstein, and the Rubenstein Family.

 

We are all fortunate to hold this celebration on the grounds of our incredible campus. This beauty you see in the daylight was not built in a day. As written in Genesis 2:15, “And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.” Let this remind us of the seed that was planted and blossomed into our school. Armed with a vision, our founders anticipated a place with superb Jewish education, while building a strong Jewish community. Since its inception 55 years ago, Gottesman RTW Academy has been a heartbeat for Jewish education. Because our teachers instill strong values into their teaching practice, this school offers a uniquely nourishing learning environment where we have been growing strong students and lifelong learners ever since. Today, we prosper from the seed we once were and continue to flourish with the sun, air, and water that is this incredible and unique community.

 

This sunshine comes in the shape of our founders, donors, teachers, and administrators. Furthermore, our alumni deserve special notice as they share their accomplishments and successes through ongoing professional, personal, and Judaic work with the community at large. Special toda raba goes to these tireless volunteers: Gala Committee members, Lori Waiser, Stacy Rubinfeld, Nicole Reinman, and Rona Zimmerman; Parent Association chairs, Cindy Amador and Rachel Castellanos; and Director of Institutional Advancement, Naomi Bacharach, ‘79 alumna.

 

L’dor v'dor, from generation to generation, is a common Jewish expression. Tomorrow’s generation of students will be learning from today's experiences. This is our legacy.
