Rabbi Dr. Mordechai Smolarcik
 
For more than four decades, Rabbi Dr. Mordechai Smolarcik has dedicated his life to Jewish education, communal leadership, and the emotional and spiritual well-being of families across North America. Currently a Senior Teacher/Magid Shiur at the Boca Raton Kollel and a Jewish History teacher at Hadar High School, Rabbi Smolarcik continues to inspire students and adults alike through his scholarship, warmth, and commitment to Torah learning.

For over a decade, Rabbi Smolarcik has served as a beloved Judaic Studies teacher at Katz Hillel Day School of Boca Raton, where he taught middle-school students a broad range of Judaic subjects. He designed curriculum, mentored youth, and coordinated extracurricular programming that fostered character development and pro-social behavior.

In addition to his extensive work in education, Rabbi Smolarcik brought his expertise in psychology to Pardes Psychological Services, providing clinical care for clients. His dual background in psychology and rabbinics uniquely positioned him to guide individuals and families with compassion and insight.

Rabbi Smolarcik also served as Rabbi of Boca Raton Synagogue West, leading a growing congregation of more than 30 families, providing weekly shiurim, adult education classes, rabbinical counseling, youth programming, and community outreach. Earlier in his career, Rabbi Smolarcik co-founded Project Chazak in Miami, an initiative supporting at-risk teens and their families through counseling and therapeutic intervention.

Rabbi Smolarcik's commitment to Jewish youth extends back to his years as Regional Director of NCSY Southern Region, where he developed transformative informal educational programming and counseled hundreds of teens throughout the Southeast. He also spent nearly a decade as Executive Director of Beth Avraham Yoseph Synagogue in Toronto, overseeing operations for a vibrant congregation of more than six hundred families, and served as Assistant Financial Director at the Hebrew Academy of Cleveland.

Rabbi Smolarcik is a graduate of Talmudic University of Florida, he received rabbinic ordination and went on to complete a Psy.D. at Carlos Albizu University, along with clinical training at the Goodman Psychological Services Center.

Rabbi Smolarcik's decades of service as an educator, psychologist, rabbi, and community builder have left a profound and lasting impact on every community he has touched.
