Kfir Lebovich

Kfir Lebovich was born and raised in Herzliya, Israel. From a young age, he was deeply committed to serving his country, joining the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in 1995, where he served with the elite Paratroopers unit. His experiences in the military would shape his future path, leading him to a distinguished career in security.
In the wake of the tragic events of 9/11, Kfir moved to the United States in 2001. He initially settled in California, but soon after, he made the decision to move to Florida to pursue a career in security. Recognizing the increasing need for safety and protection in various communities, particularly within Jewish institutions, Kfir quickly became a key figure in helping the Jewish community strengthen its security. His expertise was sought after, and he began offering specialized training to institutions on how to safeguard themselves.
In 2003, Kfir was appointed as the Chief of Security at the Hebrew Academy, a position he has held for over 21 years. During his tenure, he has dedicated himself to ensuring the safety of the students and staff, especially in light of growing security challenges. His unwavering commitment to his role has earned him deep respect and admiration within the community.
An expert shooter with multiple accolades, Kfir has achieved numerous master's titles and has been crowned champion of both Florida and Georgia in shooting competitions. His skills extend beyond personal achievement, as he dedicates a significant portion of his time training others in self-defense and firearm safety.
Kfir has worked with hundreds of individuals in the community, empowering them with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves. His volunteer work extends beyond his professional duties, as he offers his time to other Jewish organizations, always ready to lend his support to those in need.
Outside of his security work, Kfir enjoys playing guitar and sharing his barista skills with colleagues and friends, often bringing joy to those around him with his talents. He is a proud member of the Hebrew Academy family and is deeply committed to its mission.
Kfir is married to Lee, and together they have three sons—ages 14, 12, and 8. Recently, Kfir traveled to Israel during wartime to volunteer, offering his expertise in tactical training, weaponry, and operations to the IDF. This act of service reflects his lifelong commitment to both his community and his homeland.
Through his career and volunteer efforts, Kfir Lebovich has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to protecting others, especially the next generation. His legacy of service, selflessness, and community support continues to inspire those around him.
