The Second Temple High Priest, Yehoshua Ben Gamla, is credited with
advocating for the creation of a Jewish Day School network throughout
the Land of Israel. Ben-Gamla feared the abandonment of Torah study
and the diminution of Torah knowledge from among the Jewish People.
He recognized the need to provide Torah Education to children outside
of the home, through a more formal and centralized
communal educational system.
Kohelet Yeshiva and its founding cohort represent the
successors to Ben-Gamla's vision.
For their vision, devotion and energy, Jews everywhere are grateful and join in the honor being accorded to Diane Fenner Zwillenberg and David
Zwillenberg at Kohelet Yeshiva's Twenty-Third Annual Gala.
