Michael Schwartz started his camp experience at 6 1/2 years old at Cedar
Lake Camp (CLC), before the purchase of the Lake Como properties. At that time Cedar Lake was all- boys and Camp Nah-Jee-Wah was all -girls. During his 15 years in camp, Michael’s father, Joe Schwartz was the Executive Director of the Agency and continued until his retirement in his mid 60s.
During his ten years as a camper, Michael attended Round Lake, Long Lake, Nah Jee Wah (after it became co-ed), Cedar Lake and finished his camper experience with 2 years at TAC. He then went on to work in the kitchen for 2 years as a Kitchen Aid in Cedar Lake and 3 years as the assistant to the food manager, John Salsberg.

Michael is now the owner of a Vending Company and a Security / Construction Company in NJ. He is happily married for over 25 years with 2 beautiful daughters and is still fortunate to have both of his parents Joe and Arlene.
He feels so lucky that he still maintains friendships fostered and built
at NJY Camps from over 50 years ago.
