Rick is a Professional Engineer and a principal at the Civil Engineering firm of Frank H. Lehr Associates.  Over the past twenty plus years, he has been providing engineering support and guidance for the NJY Camps.

Rick has a wife, Lisa, and two children, Emily and David, who attended NJW and CLC.  Camp was an essential part of their growth and development.  Lisa worked at NJW as a counselor and Senior Counselor prior to pursuing a legal career. Their daughter, Emily, worked as a science counselor at the Dr. Lynne B. Harrison Science Center’s STEM program.

Rick is committed to the continued success of the NJY Camps serving as the Assistant Treasurer, as current Chair of the reconstituted Facilities Committee and working closely with Janet, to develop our capital program. He serves on the reconstituted Finance Committee and has served on the audit committee for the past several years. He was also a member of the investigation committee. Through his years of service, he has developed an intimate knowledge of the camps’ sewer system and treatment plant and has performed periodic engineering inspections of the camp’s facilities and dams.

 

Rick has been integrally involved in the Camp's recent transition.  He brings to the Board a unique vantage point which stems from his engineering education and experience, his role as Chairman of the Educational Foundation of the NJ Society of Professional Engineers, and his prior involvement in the West Orange High School Music Boosters.

Rick is dedicated to having the NJY Camps provide a stellar Jewish camping experience to our youth into the next hundred years.
