"That's impossible" were words we rarely heard growing up. In our house, the question was never - can we do this? but rather - how can we make this work?
 
Life has a way of throwing obstacles. But growing up, we learned from you that challenges don't have to weigh us down-they can catapult us forward. You showed us, day after day, how to face things head on and turn them into building blocks for something greater.
 
What the two of you, together with the rest of the board, have accomplished with Ohr HaTorah is a true reflection of who you are and what it means to embrace challenge. You saw a need and didn't look away. You didn't wait for someone else to step in. You chose to build. At times it was scary and the road ahead uncertain, but you kept going.
 
Tonight, looking around this room, it's impossible not to feel moved. Every person here is gathered under an umbrella you created - one crafted through endless time, constant effort, and genuine love.
 
Raising a child is about raising independence, and you undoubtedly taught us a lesson for life. You taught us that in a world full of obstacles, there is an even bigger world of opportunity - and that we are capable of finding it.
 
Thank you for being constantly giving to Am Yisrael, South Florida, the Hollywood community, and to all three of your (incredible) children. We love you always and are so proud to call you Mom and Dad.

Whether it meant relocating the school for the fifth time, managing countless behind-the-scenes administrative details, supporting the boys with warmth and a constant smile, or working around the clock to ensure everything runs smoothly, Chanie has always made Ohr her priority. Her selfless commitment, tireless devotion, and unwavering love for the school have given Ohr the strong foundation upon which it continues to grow and thrive.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated faculty and staff of Ohr HaTorah, whose daily commitment, care, and passion transform our school into a true home.
