Join us for an afternoon with the award-winning Mexican chef, Pati Jinich, who will explore her Mexican-Jewish heritage. Pati is the creator and host of the Emmy-nominated PBS series Pati’s Mexican Table and La Frontera, her PBS prime time special that debuted in the fall of 2021.  Pati’s most recent cookbook Treasures of the Mexican Table, released November 2021, was a New York Times bestseller.
 
For our event, Pati will be in discussion with G. Daniela Galarza, a staff writer for the Washington Post's Food section. Daniela is a former restaurant pastry chef and has been writing about food and cooking for more than 10 years.  Her work has appeared in the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.
 
Pati was born into a Jewish family in Mexico City, and currently is raising her family in the Washington area and is an Adas member. Pati received a master’s degree at Georgetown University in Latin American studies and then enrolled and received a degree at the L’Academie de Cuisine in Maryland.
