I was fortunate enough to graduate from the Schechter School of Long Island in 2013 after thirteen transformative years that shaped who I am today. My time there laid a strong foundation, one that propelled me into the Joint Program at Columbia University and The Jewish Theological Seminary, where I continued my academic and personal growth. Not a day goes by when I don't feel the lasting impact of my Schechter community. The teachings I received at Schechter remain a constant influence, shaping my approach to both my personal and professional life. In today’s rapidly changing world, it is more crucial than ever that we ensure future generations have a place where their Jewish identity is nurtured and strengthened. A place where they can ask questions, explore their beliefs, and engage with the world around them—all within the protective framework of a Jewish institution. It is through such environments that we can cultivate tomorrow’s leaders—equipped with the knowledge, values, and passion needed to make a meaningful impact on the world.
