JODIE FINEMAN
Keter Shem Tov Award
A proud alumni parent of Max, Ben and Hannah, Jodie has served on the Schechter Parent Association Executive Board as Treasurer and as a Class Parent Liaison. For many years, Jodie also volunteered as a Co-Chair for the Schechter Gala and has served as a member of the Nominating Committee for the Schechter Board of Trustees. An active member at Midway Jewish Center, Jodie has served on the MJC Board of Trustees, as Co-Chair of the Membership Committee and is a past member of the MJC Sisterhood Executive Board.
Since October 7th, Jodie has taken on the sacred task of supporting the Neutra family in their unwavering efforts to Bring Omer Home. Working tirelessly — directing communications through WhatsApp, editing videos, helping run social media, coordinating family meals, and by collaborating with family members, clergy, and advocacy organizations — Jodie ensured that the Neutras were never alone. Through her advocacy, she also kept the Schechter School of Long Island community informed, engaged, and united in prayer and action during an unimaginably painful time. Jodie’s quiet leadership, deep friendship, and devotion to Klal Yisrael reflect the very heart of Schechter’s values and the essence of Keter Shem Tov, making her profoundly deserving of this honor.
