An Article from Darci
Dr. Dan Siegel: What Hearing “Yes” Does to Your Child’s Brain        *Dr. Siegel was also referenced by Stephanie Slater in January's parent webinar on Emotional Regulation

Yes is more than a word. It’s a state of being, of relating, and a gateway to curiosity, growth, and resilience, according to internationally recognized educator, neuropsychiatrist, and bestselling author Dr. Dan Siegel. He and co-author Tina Payne Bryson have written a new book that offers parents everywhere a roadmap for developing and growing their child’s inner spark and internal compass to guide them throughout their lives. Read the entire article here.

Tzingo!
Sunday, February 11 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
TZINGO is a fun-filled afternoon for our Gan students that not only fulfills the mitzvah of tzedakah but helps our children understand tzedakah in a tangible way. The kids will have a great time--and a pizza dinner to boot!

The afternoon starts off with making hamantashen and decorating 'get well soon' cards for the children that Hope for Henry helps.  We then have a blast with a rousing game of TZINGO (a version of picture bingo) and prizes. The afternoon is capped off with pizza dinner and eating the delicious hamantashen that the kids have baked!

Please bring a new children's book, plastic-wrapped toy, board game, or DVD, which will be delivered to sick children undergoing treatment through the auspices of Hope for Henry.

TZINGO is the primary fundraiser for one of the worthy organizations supported by the GPA - Hope for Henry. THIS IS OUR BIGGEST TZEDAKAH FUNDRAISER OF THE YEAR AND WE ASK YOUR SUPPORT.

Please save and bring to the STEAM Room, clean jars and lids of all shapes and sizes--especially small jars, which are perfect for children to use when creating their own paint colors.  Other small vessels, or any other recycled materials are welcome.  Thank you!
