MARK GINSBERG
Exemplary Service Award
The Jewish Educational Center is proud to honor Mark Ginsberg with the Exemplary Service Award for his swift action after Hurricane Ida flooded our campuses.

Mark lent his professional expertise of a decades long career in the building industry working with Garden Homes, Short Hills, coupled with his deep commitment to a host of Jewish communal institutions, to come to the aid of our students and community members.

Mark was raised in Toms River and began his Jewish education at the Bezalel Hebrew Day School in Lakewood which set the stage for his lifelong devotion to friends, family, and serving the needs of the Jewish community.

Along the way, Mark has formed deep friendships with administrations and staff of  the following Jewish institutions whose facilities he has constructed, renovated and expanded;  Jewish Family Service of Central NJ, it’s Food Pantry and Storage Annex; the Golda Och Academy, the YMHA of Union County, the JCC of Scotch Plains, Rutgers Hillel, and the Rabbinical College in Morristown.  As a board member of JFS, Mark is particularly passionate about the work the agency does in the community and building the close relationships with the other community institutions.

In addition to his involvement with the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ, Mark is a Jewish community leader in his hometown of Morganville, New Jersey and served in numerous leadership capacities at his Synagogue, Sons of Israel of Manalapan.

Mark and his wife Julie, are the proud parents of Craig married to Randi, and Stephanie, who is married to Paul Ellis. They are blessed with three grandchildren, Nolan, Bradley and Goldie.
