R' Chaim Brisker related a story about a store where every item was priced for drei ruble, three rubles. The storeowner could not speak more than a few words, and the only number he could say was 'drei,' so he sold everything for the same price. 

Said R' Chaim: "The storeowner only knew one number, so everything in his store reflected that. I only know of one reality: Torah. That's why the world was created, why we're alive and it is the only actual metzius." 

No word better describes the essence of Rabbi Abel than Torah. 

Hashem should bentch Rebbi with much strength to teach vayter, with lots of Columbian brew and Shloimy's kokosh, and the ability to one day, finally sit down and learn Yevamos.
