His profound and brilliant Torah scholarship and mastery of  הלכה;

We are moved and daunted by having so little space in which to pay tribute to our beloved Rav Elazar Mayer Teitz. We came to Elizabeth as a young couple nearly 47 years ago and spent our first married Yomim Noraim here. It was with the Rav's powerful Ne'ilah on Yom Kippur that we decided to remain.

With great appreciation to Rav Elazar M. Teitz for his dedication to the Jewish Community and Klal Yisrael.  Before making aliyah we lived in Elizabeth for over 30 years. Rav Teitz was our posek, teacher, mentor, & friend (without compromising his stature). We admired the Rav as a fellow math lover and as a unifying force in our community. We appreciated the Rav's sense of humor, love of  children, dedication to halacha, and interest in the Jewish calendar.
Ephraim was privileged to interact with the Rav frequently while serving as gabbai of the Elmora Shul and appreciated his guidance and support.  Amy had the privilege of translating the Rav's speeches into sign language and discussing them with him, Amy also interacted with the Rav in his capacity as dean of the school where she taught his grandchildren and other students.
There is more to say, but , kike the Rav, we will keep this short and end with a gematria.

L'zecher Nishmas Harav Elazar Mayar ben Harav Mordechai Pinchas zt"l. A Life of Leadership, Vision, and Torah With deep admiration and gratitude, we join the Jewish Educational Center in celebrating the extraordinary life and legacy of the Rav. Rav Teitz's unwavering dedication to Torah, chinuch, and community has impacted generations. His leadership has shaped the lives of countless students and families-ours included. As proud alumni of JEC and Bruriah, and now parents of three boys currently learning and growing within JEC, we are forever grateful for the values, education, and commitment to excellence that Rav Teitz has instilled in this remarkable institution. Wishing Rebbetzin Teitz continued strength and good health. With hakaras hatov,

What does one say when he loses a chavrusa of 20 years?
A person for whom I had so much awe and respect-yet he always made me feel like an equal. A giant in learning, yet incredibly humble. His presence commanded reverence and awe, yet he was so soft and sensitive. So strong in his convictions, yet endlessly patient with others. An expert in Gittin, yet an even greater expert in keeping marriages together. He was just as happy to have a mikvah in a girls' school-to help them grow up in kedusha-as he was to have a yeshiva in a shul. I was amazed by how many times he told me the story of how he convinced a parent to send their son to a yeshiva gedolah-but I was even more amazed that each time, he had tears streaming down his face. I feel such a deep void in my heart. But hopefully, that void can be filled by what the yeshiva will continue to give back to the community. I'm not so good at math-but I think the gematria of"

Our family - and the entire community - was profoundly blessed to have Moreinu HaRav Elazar Meir Teitz, zt"l, as a guiding presence in our lives. He stood by us at our most significant milestones, offering steadfast support and inspiring us with his unwavering dedication to Torah and communal growth. A constant source of wisdom, strength, and compassion, his passing leaves a void that is deeply felt by all who knew him. Yet, we take comfort in knowing that we now have a meilitz yosher of the highest caliber - an advocate in the Heavenly realms - watching over our community and all of Klal Yisrael. Wishing the Rabbanit, the Teitz family and the greater JEC community comfort and b'soros tovos,
