TIC Annual Gala and Fundraiser Frequently Asked Questions
Will the Gala be indoors and/or outdoors?
The Gala will be held primarily indoors and TIC has instituted strict COVID-19 safety and health protocols that comply with both CDC and NYSDOH requirements. Our many COVID-19 precautions will be in place including:
  • Outdoor tent in the Marilyn and Stanley Katz Courtyard will be available throughout the night.
  • A mask-only section of the Milstein sanctuary will be reserved during the honoree program.
  • Use of all three reception halls and sanctuary will allow for increased air circulation during the event.
What are the TIC Covid Protocols for the Gala?
  • If you have any Covid-related symptoms or are not feeling well, we ask that you not come to the Gala.
  • For the safety of our community, everyone age 12 and older, other than those with a documented medical exemption, must be fully vaccinated in order to attend the Gala, indoors or outdoors. Someone is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after they have completed their primary series (meaning both doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine). We also strongly recommend a booster dose for all eligible individuals. For ages 5-11, while vaccination is not required for participation, we strongly recommend it.
  • Masks are optional for all indoor services and activities. A mask-only section of the sanctuary will be reserved during the honoree program. Of course, those who wish to continue to wear masks should feel free to do so at any time or location throughout the sanctuary and building.
The dress code is festive, what does this mean?
  • Women: A dress, romper, or dressy pants & top
  • Men: Sportcoat and pants or suit with optional tie
What time does the gala begin?
The gala begins at 6:30 pm in Reception Hall 3 where we will enjoy some cocktails before we move into the sanctuary for our wonderful program at 7:00 pm, during which we will pay tribute to our honorees. Following the program we will move to the reception halls for a delicious buffet dinner, open bar, dancing, and our fantastic silent auction, speakeasy, and Israel experience raffle for the duration of the evening.
What time does the gala end?
Now that we moved the gala indoors, we were able to extend the party until 10:30 pm. We promise dessert will be served by 9:30 pm, but we would love as many people as possible to stay longer to continue the celebration!
Where should we park?
There will be parking spaces available in TIC's lower parking lot, rear parking lot and side parking lot. There will also be overflow parking available in the Reach Church parking lot. If you are parking in the Reach Church parking lot please be sure only to park in the areas designated for TIC parking.
