Eli and her husband Mark have been proud residents of West Hempstead since 2012, where they quickly became integral members of the Young Israel of West Hempstead (YIWH) community. Their connection to the shul began when they started davening at the Young Couples Minyan, which sparked Eli's deep commitment to volunteering and leadership. In 2015, she was introduced to Gari Ann Harris at a Mommy and Me class and was soon recruited to contribute to the Sisterhood, where she played an active role in a variety of initiatives, including cooking demonstrations, Challah Bakes, and Chanukah Boutiques. Eli’s creativity and ability to meet the needs of the community set her apart as a key figure in the shul’s programming.

Eli's leadership skills were further recognized in 2019 when she was elected to the Sisterhood's Executive Board. Serving as Vice President from 2021-2022, she now co-presides with Daniella Rosenberg. Her leadership style is marked by grace, elegance, and a natural ability to inspire others. Eli's creative and strategic contributions, from organizing events featuring renowned speakers to creating memorable programs, have left a lasting impact on the Sisterhood. Her approachability and thoughtful insights have made her a beloved figure in the community.

A compassionate Registered Nurse with 17 years of experience, Throughout the pandemic, she selflessly served as a COVID tester, offering her expertise and care. Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Eli is a devoted wife and mother to Sophie, 12, and Sammy, 9. She also dedicates time as a shadchan for SawYouAtSinai and enjoys spending quality moments with her family, especially cheering on Sammy at Little League games. Eli's kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her family and community continue to inspire all who know her.
