Congregation Ahavas Sholom, a diverse, egalitarian, Tikkun Olam driven congregation in Newark, New Jersey is celebrating our third Tikkun Olam Awards. Tikkun Olam, a core value of the congregation, translates loosely to the 'repair of the world' and draws from the idea in Jewish theology that human beings are responsible for completing G-d’s creation.
The Tikkun Olam Awards will celebrate our congregation's resilience and longevity and honor individuals committed to the repair of the world. The festive event will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 2PM-5PM at Ahavas Sholom, 145 Broadway, Newark, NJ. The celebration will include delicious kosher refreshments, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, music and entertainment, networking and the awards program.
