Jared and Candice moved from New York to Los Angeles in 2018 with their oldest daughter. Being transplants, without much family here, they have found that their friendships and the Beth Jacob community have sustained and bolstered them in times of joy and in times of need. They strive to teach their children the significance of giving back to one’s community and the overarching importance of Jewish middot.

Jared was born and raised in Newton, Massachusetts. He moved to New York in 2012 and met Candice, a native New Yorker, within the first week of his move. They married in 2014 and made the Upper West Side their home prior to their move west. Through the years, they have loved to travel, explore new kosher eateries, and stay fit and active.

Candice graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in communication. After graduating, she worked at Morgan Stanley in Human Resources and Marketing for eight years. For the past six years, she has worked at Alvarez & Marsal, a global professional services firm, as Alumni Relations Manager. She oversees the development of the firm’s global alumni program. She recently ran the LA Half Marathon on Team Concern, where she raised money for Sharsheret, a national not-for-profit organization supporting Jewish women and families of all backgrounds facing breast and ovarian cancer. Candice also created and runs the New & Expecting Moms Group at Beth Jacob that aims to provide support for moms. In her spare time, Candice enjoys pursuing her passion for writing. She is working on a short story which she aims to publish in 2022.

Jared earned a BSBA in Management from Suffolk University. He is the Vice President of Boosted Commerce, a Mergers & Acquisitions firm that acquires e-commerce businesses. In addition to this role, he runs the largest annual Amazon seller conference in New York, AMZInnovate.co. When Jared is not working, you can find him on the tennis court or racing cars. He spearheaded and runs the annual Beth Jacob Tennis Tournament, now in its third year. He is also an ardent fan of the Kiddush Club and loves to network in-between davening.

Their daughters love attending shul groups and participating in youth programming. On Sundays, you can find them taking advantage of all that California has to offer - from rock climbing to swimming at the beach, to farmer’s markets and everything in between.
