Nicole Feibel is an honor student and senior at Harborfields High School. She started attending the Huntington Jewish Center Religious School in the first grade after spending a few years at a private Jewish day school. She also attended the SHMA Hebrew High School for the final year of the program. Nicole was proud to receive the honor of Judaic Scholar three times while in religious school as well as the Akiba Award in recognition of her personal achievement and active synagogue involvement.

Huntington Jewish Center (HJC) is Nicole’s spiritual home and she has spent much time there providing community service and helping out when she can. Nicole has participated in babysitting services during Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and the Friday Night Live services as well as running booths at the Hanukkah Happening and Purim Carnival. In the fall of 2020, she worked in HJC’s religious school as an administrative assistant and helped to ensure the office was running efficiently. Nicole has also helped to make sandwiches for the homeless at the Jewish Nutritional Network and for several years participated in the Huntington Interfaith Homeless Initiative.

 
As an active member of the HJC United Synagogue Youth (USY) chapter, Nicole has served on the Executive Board for the last four years and has been chapter president for three of those years. What she most enjoys about participating as a board member is welcoming new members, developing new activities, and running and participating in fundraising events for the group.

 
In her spare time, Nicole enjoys tennis, dancing, and family vacations. Nicole is planning on pursuing a career in business. She hopes to continue to be involved Jewish life and community service in college next year.

Nicole would like to congratulate Evelyn Abraham on her well-deserved honor as this year’s Woman of Achievement. She also wants to thank the Sisterhood of Huntington Jewish Center for all they do for the synagogue and for this special honor.
