Sheila and Adam J. Hanover
We are pleased to honor the Hanovers
for their decades of service to our shul.
A Board member and longtime financial secretary,
Adam served two consecutive terms as shul president;
Sheila, a former Trustee and active Sisterhood member,
has helped lead multiple shul-wide events
and fundraising initiatives.
Young Leadership Award
Leah and Noah Kaminer
We are pleased to honor Leah and Noah Kaminer
for their many contributions to our Shul
since moving to Springfield to help enhance
Torah learning and chesed initiatives.
Over the past 14 years, both have served as
Trustees and leaders of key Board committees
and Shul programs; Leah is also a past president
of the CIS Sisterhood.
Aishet Chayil Award
Lea Marcus
We are pleased to honor our beloved Rebbetzin Lea Marcus
for her myriad contributions to CIS, most notably by inspiring
the girls, brides and women of our Shul to emulate her devotion
to sustaining sacred Jewish values. Lea’s warmth and charisma
have also helped drive the explosive growth of our community
since she and Rav Chaim moved to Springfield 16 years ago.
Edward Konigsberg Memorial Award
Bernard Zenn
We are pleased to honor Bernard Zenn for his contributions
to our daily and Shabbos minyanim for the past 20 years,
and for the many ways in which his energy, effervescence
and enduring enthusiasm for Avodas Hashem inspire the
entire CIS community.
Joseph Tammam Memorial Youth Community Service Scholarship Award
Beryl Artman
We are pleased to honor Beryl Artman
for his service to the members of our Shul,
as well as the wider Jewish community.
In addition to serving as a role model for the
children of our Shul, Beryl has been honored
for his contributions to Habitat for Humanity,
and by the Friendship Circle for his longtime
volunteer work on behalf of special needs children.
