"Sonny" Bernard Davis, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on February 9th, 2022, at the age of 89. Before that, he played an out-sized role in Baltimore’s large Jewish community. 

 

Sonny Davis is deeply rooted in the childhood memories of so many people.  In part, this is a result of his involvement at Princeton Sports, his well-known sports shop.  It is also because of his devotion and many contributions to the Beth El Congregation’s Men’s Club.  A mainstay at board meetings for many years, Sonny helped the club sponsor popular events and, through his presence and brilliant ideas, consistently ensured their success.  Sonny did not only offer keen insight; he also provided generous financial contributions, for which the club remains ever so grateful. 

 

Throughout his membership and his involvement in our club, Sonny Davis brought joy to so many, and so many will miss him. 

 

In addition to our members, those who miss Sonny include his loving wife,  Judith Davis; devoted children, Alan (Jackie) Davis, Paul (Lisa) Davis and Sherri Davis; dear step-children, Amy (Jason) Bulson, Brian (Amy) Kishter and Lauren Kishter; loving grandchildren, Ash Davis (Jonathan) Smelkinson, Connor Davis, Alexandra (Chase) McArthur, Adam Davis, Zachary Bulson, Leah Bulson, Ben Kishter and Stephanie Kishter and adored great-granddaughter; Camilla McArthur, his loving sister-in-law, Freida Mazer, and many loving nieces and nephews.
