Brian Lubin
B'nai Shalom of Olney
I was born in Washington, DC on December 27, 1960.  I grew up in Hillandale, Maryland as a member of Shaare Tefilah.  I attended Hebrew School, became a Bar Mitzvah, was confirmed, and was active in the shul's USY chapter.

A graduate of University of Maryland, I married my high school sweetheart, Melanie (Senter) Lubin in 1987. We lived in suburban Baltimore for many years where I founded Lubin Contracting Services, LLC, a commercial general contractor and development company.  In 2002 our son Russell was born. Once Russell started pre-school, Melanie and I joined Beth T'filoh in Pikesville MD.  As Russell got older, I coached peewee T-ball and soccer at the Owings Mills JCC. We moved to Olney MD in September 2007, just in time for Russell to start kindergarten at Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Rockville MD.

When we moved to Olney we joined B'nai Shalom of Olney immediately, a wonderful community.  It allowed us to spend time with our extended families (the Lubins/Senters/Kovalskys clan). I quickly became involved in BSO by becoming a Bonim coadviser with my wife Melanie. I then moved on to be BSO's Chair of the House committee.  I am regular at Shabbat services and dinners, children's programs, and social events, if there is something happening at B'nai Shalom I attend. Through leadership development at BSO I became President in 2021.  Though time consuming and hard work, its a very rewarding experience with memories that will last a lifetime.  I wish to thank Mens Club for this honor and appreciate all they have done for BSO and our families throughout the years.
