Robert Singman
Har Shalom
Robert Singman has been a member of Congregation Har Shalom for more than 18 years and a member of the Men’s Club for 15 years. He started off participating in club activities like helping to build the Sukkah and grilling at the annual Back to Shul picnic and moved on to helping out at the annual Purim Carnival. He was the Vice President of Operations for more than five years, where he coordinated the kitchen for the monthly Men’s Club speaker series, as well as the building of the Sukkah and the grill masters for the picnics. He has been leading the club as president for the past six years. He also brought to the synagogue the award-winning documentary Diversity in the Long Grey Line, detailing the history of Jewish Americans serving in the United States Military Academy at West Point. 
 
Robert and his wife Cindy live in Rockville, MD and have two daughters. Robert moved down from Northern Jersey to work for EPA in procurement as a contract specialist. He left EPA to work for Booz Allen as a consultant for five years before returning to the Government at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). Robert currently works for the National Institute of Standards and Technology as a contracting officer. He is a member of the Institute of Supply Management National Capital Area. He was the president in 2012. Robert graduated from Skidmore College with a BA in Economics and an MBA from Northeastern University.
