B'nai Shalom - Mike Silberglitt
Mike started life in Jersey City, NJ but grew up in Fairfax, VA.  (although he's stayed a Mets and Giants fan thanks to his dad).  Jewish life growing up centered around Olam Tikvah.

After spending time at University of Virginia the University of Colorado he moved back to the east coast.  A few years later his wife Claudia entered the picture and the rest was history, including 22 wonderful years of marriage and three boys – Cameron, the oldest, and  twins Aaron and Ryan.

All three of boys went to Temple Isaiah preschool, but when their oldest son Cameron was heading into third grade they went in search of a Conservative shul.  Fortunately, they found B'nai Shalom and joined in 2011 – it was immediately his community.  His sister Shari also joined at the same time which was great having all the cousins together sharing Jewish youth experiences.  Shortly after that he joined the Hebrew School parent committee, and then went on to be a trustee and am now finishing his 4th year on the executive board in various VP roles.  As an added bonus, Mike's parents moved up to Maryland and joined BSO a few years ago (sorry OT!).  Synagogue leadership is taxing but extremely rewarding – he's very grateful to have had the opportunity to help BSO continue to thrive.  I want to thank Men’s Club for this honor and appreciate all they have done for BSO and our families throughout the years.  It is particularly meaningful to be celebrating at Olam Tikvah, the very synagogue that provided the foundation of his Jewish experience.
