David has been active in Har Shalom's Men's Club for several years, becoming a Board member and most recently and currently serving as Treasurer.  In that role, David has been responsible for maintaining our budget and assuring that Har Shalom's Men's Club financially contributes to synagogue operations.  For example, Men's Club recently made a large donation to the Har Shalom kitchen which will be renovated this summer.  Har Shalom Men's Club also puts on the Har Shalom Purim Carnival every year, and David has been responsible for making sure it runs smoothly.  David has also been responsible for making Men's Club donations to Magen David Adom, Hillel and Friends of the IDF in 2023 and 2024 after the October 7 attack on Israel.  Prior to his time on the Men's Club Board, David contributed to Har Shalom as a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee.

 

David is a Maryland native and a graduate of the University of Maryland, is married to Reli and has 2 adult children, Alyson and Adam.  Both of David's children are graduates of Tulane University and were active in Hillel.  David's dedication to Har Shalom and its Men's Club follows the many contributions of his parents to their synagogue in Maryland, B'nai Israel.  Har Shalom Men's Club acknowledges David's many contributions by honoring him as the BYPOY for 2025.
