Limor Weinstein is a Masters trained Clinical Psychologist, obtaining her degrees from City College and Columbia University. She was raised in Israel on a kibbutz and was a service commander in the Israeli Defense Force. She has served as a Mental Health Counselor for Behavior Therapy of New York as well as a counselor for the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia. She completed a two year post graduate training in Eating Disorders at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and is co-chair of the Academy of Eating Disorders.
Limor struggled with eating disorder for 10 years during her childhood in Israel and was personally familiar with the lack of treatment. She recently discovered the ever-expanding comprehensive treatment at Reuth, by the Eating Disorder Institute and has committed to collaborate with the director and staff members to ensure treatment is available for those in need. Limor has visited Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital and the Eating Disorder Institute and strives to promote eating disorder prevention and treatment, both here in New York and Israel, through her services.
