Elliot Frank, MD, MBA, FACP, FIDSA is a graduate of the Yale University School of Medicine and holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Monmouth University. After completing training in Infectious Diseases at SUNY-Downstate Medical Center, Dr. Frank became Associate Program Director of the Medical Residency Program at Jersey Shore University Medical Center (JSUMC), and soon thereafter was appointed Chief of Infectious Diseases. 

 

From 2000-2016, Dr. Frank served as Chair of the Department of Medicine at JSUMC and Clinical Professor of Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.  In 2015, Dr. Frank was elected President of the Infectious Diseases Society of New Jersey.

 

Dr. Frank is currently Medical Director for Patient Safety and Quality at JSUMC and Professor of Medicine at the Hackensack Meridian Health School of Medicine. He has authored or coauthored over 35 articles and book chapters and has been involved in the publication or presentation of over 75 scientific abstracts. He has received numerous awards for teaching and scholarship and serves as a consultant for BestDoctors®, providing clinical expertise for patients around the globe.

 

Dr. Frank, a past president of RPRY, resides in Edison with his wife Susan. They are extremely proud of their three RPRY graduates, Jeremy, Vice President-Investments at the Robert Martin Company; Ilana, an early childhood educator in New York City; and Matthew, who is completing his training in Pulmonary-Critical Care Medicine at Northwell Health.
