Michele and Jeff joined TBS in 2009. They were looking for a synagogue where they, along with their 3 daughters, could call home. They attended a Shabbat service and immediately knew that TBS was "the place". The warmth of the staff, clergy, and congregation was what sold them. Since then, they have become active members watching their children grow, celebrating many simchas, and creating lifelong friendships.

Michele and Jeff met while they were in college at Penn State. They were dating each other's roommates at the time and quickly became friends. A few years later, they started dating, and the rest is history! Jeff started his career in public accounting in Pittsburgh, where he grew up. Michele earned her Master of Social Work degree at New York University and then joined Jeff in Pittsburgh. In 1996 they got married and moved East, ultimately settling in Cherry Hill, where Michele was raised.

They soon added 3 wonderful daughters to their family, Hallie, Carly, and Kenzie. Michele and Jeff consider the girls their greatest accomplishment and source of pride. Jeff has spent the past 25 years building his career as a finance professional in the mortgage industry. He is currently the CFO of AnnieMac Home Mortgage. Michele had the ultimate privilege of being a stay-at-home mom and recently returned to the workforce as a high school counselor. Their oldest daughter, Hallie, is graduating from The Ohio State University this spring. She accepted a job working as a business analyst in the Government and Public Service Department at Deloitte in Columbus. Carly is a freshman at University of Michigan. She is studying Kinesiology and is considering a future in the health sciences. Kenzie is a sophomore at Cherry Hill East. She already has an interest in a career in nursing. Will she choose a Big Ten school like the other members of her family? Time will tell.

Jeff and Michele have both chosen to use their skills and interests to engage in different projects and roles at TBS, as they believe you get out of a synagogue what you put in. After sitting on the steering committees for Young Members Group and Men's Club, Jeff was called upon to offer his finance knowledge to the Board of Directors. He served as the Budget Chair and then the Treasurer for many years. Though he no longer holds either position, he remains a vital voice on the Finance Committee. Michele has stayed true to her social work roots through her involvement with the TBS Social Action Committee. What started out as suggestion to the religious school for more hands-on community service opportunities led to a position on the Social Action Committee and ultimately a role as the chairperson for many years.

Jeff and Michele feel blessed to have found the Temple Beth Sholom community and both believe that they have gotten way more out of TBS than they have put in.
