Audrey and David are honored to celebrate this year’s Annual Gala with their Temple Israel Center family. Audrey and David joined TIC twenty years ago when they moved to White Plains from NYC with their young children, Benjamin and Rebecca. They treasure the enduring friendships they have made over the past many years.

After joining TIC, Audrey immediately became involved, serving on the Family Education Committee and the Shabbat Programming Committee. She eventually became a board member and served for 11 years on the Budget Committee and the Executive Committee (serving first as Financial Secretary and Vice President) before becoming president in July of 2020. Audrey worked hard to lead TIC through the pandemic and is thrilled that TIC maintained its strength as a community, which enabled it to emerge stronger than ever.

Audrey currently serves on TIC’s Executive Committee and is also a board member of Westchester Jewish Counsel and the Westchester/Fairfield Board of the American Jewish Committee. Previously, Audrey was a member of UJA-Federation of NY’s Board of Directors, served on UJA-Federation’s Commission on Jewish Identity and Renewal and the Executive Committee of the Lawyers Division, and was Chair of the Young Leadership Division. She also received the UJA-Federation of New York James H. Fogelson Young Leadership Award and the Israel Bonds Insurance Division Neil D. Levin Memorial Award for her work with both organizations

Audrey grew up in Stamford, CT, and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa and earned her law degree at Columbia Law School. Audrey currently holds the role of Managing Deputy General Counsel, North America Business Lines and Global Business Innovation at Chubb, where she is responsible for setting Chubb’s global legal strategy on artificial intelligence and digital initiatives and also leads a team of lawyers handling all legal matters for Chubb’s business units and field operations. Prior to this role, she was Global Compliance Officer at ACE from 2007-2010 and was named one of “50 Women to Watch” by Business Insurance.

Audrey began her legal career as an associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson before holding the position of Deputy Superintendent and General Counsel of the New York State Insurance Department, where she was responsible for all legal matters for the Department. One of her proudest accomplishments was her work as Special Counsel to the Superintendent on Holocaust-related issues where she developed New York’s strategy on resolving unpaid Holocaust-era insurance claims and worked on establishing the International Commission on Holocaust Era Insurance Claims, chaired by Lawrence Eagleburger, which returned over $500 million to 82,000 Holocaust claimants and survivors.

Born and raised in Livingston, NJ, and growing up in a home that was deeply involved in the local Conservative synagogue – Temple Beth Shalom – David aspired to provide his own family with a similarly enriching environment. In addition to supporting Audrey’s efforts (and time commitments!), David embraced his role as “first husband.” David also is a regular minyan attendee and has enjoyed the learning opportunities that TIC has provided, starting with Rabbi Gordon Tucker’s bi-weekly Mishna class all the way to Rabbi Yolkut’s monthly Tisch with the Chasidic Rebbes (including Rabbi Yolkut’s award-winning cholent). Both Audrey and David are big music fans and avid concertgoers. After repeatedly bumping into other TIC members at several shows, David started the TIC Concert Club affinity group to share upcoming events and exchange ticket information.

David graduated from the University of Maryland and received his MBA in Marketing from the University of Connecticut. David serves as the media director for SodaStream U.S., an Israel-based company (but with an easy commute to Purchase). Although he has held a variety of positions in the media industry, including the scrolling TV Guide Channel, The Nashville Network, and County Music Television, people at kiddush are most interested in talking about his time at World Wrestling Entertainment, where he traveled throughout the country promoting live events with wrestlers like Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, and Andre the Giant.

Audrey and David met through mutual friends and married on March 14, 1999 – exactly twenty-five years ago today! – and raised their two children at TIC. Both Benjamin and Rebecca attended the TIC Nursery School and celebrated their b’nai mitzvah at TIC and are proud graduates of The Leffell School. Benjamin graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, magna cum laude, and is currently working in NYC. Rebecca is a senior at the University of Michigan.

Audrey and David are grateful to receive this honor and owe so much to their parents for being an inspiration to them and for their commitment to their Jewish communities and Israel. They also express their deep appreciation for the dedication of our inspiring clergy, devoted lay leaders and volunteers, and outstanding staff of TIC. They are especially happy to share this honor with Jessica and Andrew and look forward to their leadership for many years to come.
