Women’s League for Conservative Judaism’s Giving Tuesday supports the Masorti Women’s Days of Study. The Masorti Women’s Days of Study are organized by Diane Friedgut, Women’s League Israel Liaison, and a large committee of women representing the kehilot, congregations, in Israel.

 

In 2000, the Masorti Women’s Days of Study were created and directed by Women’s League for Conservative Judaism, in cooperation with the Schechter Institutes of Jewish Studies and the Masorti Movement. There are usually multiple Masorti Women’s Days of Study held in different regions in Israel, in the winter. In June, there is a full day of study at the Schechter Institutes of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, when Conservative/Masorti Women from across Israel gather to pray, sing and study together. Since COVID, at least one of the Masorti Women’s Days of Study is hybrid, and then our sisters in North America and throughout the diaspora are able to study alongside our Israeli sisters for the learning sessions which are taught in Hebrew, English, Spanish and Russian.

 

Giving Tuesday, December 2, is our most significant moment of support for The Masorti Women’s Day of Study and its meaningful programming. Help us reach our goal! Your donation, no matter the amount, advances this important initiative and is sincerely appreciated.
