Chanan Strassman joined BCHSJS in 2015 as the School Counselor.  In this role, he offers guidance and support to our students in meeting their academic, social, emotional, career, and religious goals.  Chanan is also a resource to our teachers in fostering a warm school climate, engaging students with diverse learning profiles, parent communication as well as offering his insight on any questions that arise in the classroom.  Whether meeting individually for weekly consultation, leading a class discussion, or facilitating school-wide assemblies, Chanan enjoys the opportunity to interact with and inspire our students.  During the week, Chanan works as a member of the Guidance Department at the Torah Academy of Bergen County.  He lives in Fair Lawn with his wife, Aliza and their two children, Orit and Tziona.
