A Message from our President

I am so excited to be celebrating with you as we join together for Congregation Israel’s 49th Annual Dinner!
My family and I have lived here for over 16 years, and have been privileged to witness the unbelievable growth of our shul. Under the guidance of our incredible Rabbi and our long-standing members, we have been able to reinvigorate each other and bring more Torah learning into our lives every single day. Our Congregation is strong, and that is in large part due to the dedication of our members who ensure that the shul community remains connected, supported and inspired. I feel honored to call this shul my home, and each day I am reminded of why this community is so remarkably special.
I am so pleased to be able to celebrate with you on April 9th as we honor some very special shul members. Our honorees have each played a pivotal role in contributing to our community and have inspired others to devote their time and energy in making CIS the center of Orthodox Jewish life in Springfield.
Please join me in wishing a hearty mazal tov to this year’s dinner honorees, Noa Bitansky, Gabe Nadel, Miryam Smilow, Ariella and Eric Bloom and our evening’s guests of honor, Miriam and Josh Stern.
