Message From The Chair, Board of Directors
Dear DYC Family,
I am proud to be writing to you as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Dynamite Youth Center Foundation, Inc. I have been with DYC for 9 years. This last year for me, as it has for many of you, has been a year filled with unbelievable challenges.
In light of COVID-19, and the many public health concerns and restrictions imposed on us, we forged ahead – we adapted. This change was unexpected and it hasn’t been easy to say the least. We viewed it as an opportunity to meet many of you that are far away; we see you in group and in our Town Hall meetings, we support each other no matter where we are. The virtual world allowed us to innovate our services and activities while remaining true to our mission.
This past year has been a test of resilience. With the dedication of the staff, our young members and their families, and members of the board, we never quit.
We are in our 50th year with so much to do and so much to look forward to. While we reflect on the young people’s lives that have been saved and families that have been reunited, we look forward to continuing our work and planning our GALA CELEBRATION in the spring of 2022!
I would like to thank the staff, families, sponsors, friends, and members of the board for your hard work in this fight to end the opioid epidemic.
