Michelle and Bruce Berger have been dedicated school leaders and philanthropists at Golda Och Academy since their daughter Emily began attending school in 2005. Michelle instantly immersed herself as an active volunteer for the school’s Parents’ Association and became Lower School PA president in 2008. Since then, she has made a difference in numerous leadership roles, including PA fundraising chair, special events chair, member of the school’s NJAIS Accreditation Committee in 2017 and as a committee member for many Spring Galas. Since 2010, Michelle has served as a member of our Board of Trustees and is currently the Major Gifts chair for the GOA Annual Fund. Michelle also dedicates her time and energy to Comfort Project 360 as well as to the Friendship Circle, where her entire family is involved.

Bruce is president of the Berger Organization, a diversified real estate development and management firm in Newark, overseeing the company’s investment and development activities. Bruce serves on the school’s Building Committee and was involved with the Wilf Lower School Campus expansion. He also serves on the board of the Rabbinical College as well as Bris Avrohom, a nonprofit organization that assists the Russian Jewish community. Bruce is also past vice president of the Riverdale YM-YWHA and past president of Congregation Etz Chaim in Livingston, NJ.
