Mr. Isaac D. Massry

Isaac D. Massry graduated in 1992 and is the first Hillel Yeshiva Alumni to be honored in our annual journal. As long as he can remember, for over 25 years; he has been involved in fundraising. He began giving back to Hillel when he was 14  years old selling car raffles at the Deal Casino and Phillips Beach and has never looked back.

Isaac, as one of the youngest ever, was appointed to the Board of Directors by President Joel Rishty A”H, in 1995.  In 2010, he was appointed to the Executive Board as Vice President. Isaac is grateful to

his parents, Daniel and Rochelle Massry, who taught by example, what it means to be giving members of our community. He is also indebted to count among his mentors Morris I. Franco A”H, Jack D. Franco, and Sammy Saka, who taught him the importance of leadership and working

to improve our community for all its members.  He has continued to work diligently for Hillel and over the past decade and has been the primary speaker at most of our fundraising events.

Isaac has not limited himself to only supporting our Yeshiva. He and his brother Mark were instrumental in founding their synagogue, Beth Rachel, locally known as Larchwood Synagogue. He also funded and helped to raise the initial seed money for Deal Sephardic Network (DSN), which has subsequently grown into an important community organization. Isaac is a role model for the next generation. He represents the mission of Hillel Yeshiva - a commitment to the community.

Isaac is married to his wonderful wife Linda (Falack). Together they are raising four children: Danny I. just graduated this past year and is studying at Moreshet Yerushalayim in Jerusalem. He will attend NYU upon his return. His daughter Shelley is in 10th grade and his daughter Marilyn is in 7th grade, while Jack, their youngest, is in 4th, all at Hillel.

Isaac has a successful career with his father and brother at Wharton Realty Group. The Massry family definitely enjoys traveling and one of their main priorities has been to instill a love of Israel in their children by visiting once a year. When he has spare time, Isaac can be found either on a tennis court or on the golf course.

Hillel Yeshiva is proud to have alumni like Isaac D. Massry. We are happy to honor him in our 2021 Hillel Yeshiva Journal. May he and his family continue to be blessed with good health, strength, and happiness to continue their good work for Hillel Yeshiva and the community.
