GRATITUDE

“We must remember that one determined person can make a significant difference, and that a small group of determined people can change the course of history”.

Dear Donors and Friends of Hudson Milestones:

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Hudson Milestones, we are particularly delighted to celebrate our 73 years of excellence in providing services to people with intellectual/developmental disabilities throughout Hudson County.  It is with the deepest expression of gratitude that I share this message with you on behalf of everyone at Hudson Milestones.

Over the years, countless individuals, families, businesses and community groups have donated generously to ensure that our mission was maintained and we had the resources to provide high quality care. Without knowing it at the time of making those very kind donations, they had a huge impact today, when we have needed and relied on having the best care for those we served during the COVID-19 pandemic. The donations made before this crisis have helped enable care throughout these unprecedented times.

Looking to the future, as we have had no fundraising opportunities such as our annual dinner dance/gala event, we need your continued support and generous donations towards Hudson Milestones.  We, together, need to ensure we will have continued growth in our level of service. We need to be able to look after those we serve, our employees, and the agency better than ever before. We know that this everchanging world urgently needs emergency preparation for the demands that we will face in the years to come.

We are all so fortunate to have you as a supporter and/or friend of such a fine organization that had over a dozen quarantines during the heightened part of the pandemic, and continues to struggle with COVID mandates.  Where the unknown included survival for our existence, along with fear; where long hours turned into years, to include now suffering from lack of staff.  Hundreds of changes in requirements, to include Executive Directives and Orders, CDC guidance, and Department of Human Services requirements, which continue to change and be challenging.

To all our dedicated staff, a world of gratitude to you! Thank you for truly setting an incredible example of commitment to those we serve.

To those of you who have contributed at every point in time, you have exemplified our belief that giving is to be joyful, even in times of crisis. You have confirmed that giving with kindness leads to joyful living, from one person to another.

We are Hudson Milestones strong! Gratitude turns what we have into enough and more!

Stay safe and well,
