Jayne Luger
For her 27 years of dedicated service as Executive Director
Jayne, her husband Stephen and children were JCAB members and year 'round residents of Atlantic Beach when in 1993, she was invited to become the first Executive Director of the shul. She maintained that position for 27 years until 2020. Her familiarity with the congregation and training as an attorney were assets that enhanced her ability to fulfill the role of administrator.
As the Executive Director, Jayne was privileged to have worked with distinguished JCAB rabbis: Rabbi Herring, Rabbi Klibanoff, Rabbi Perl, Rabbi Willig and Rabbi Prus. The growth of JCAB and its popularity today can be credited to the commitment and cooperative efforts of our clergy, dedicated Board members, Executive Director and office support.
Jayne's contributions during her tenure as Executive Director included introducing many administrative and programming initiatives, including our popular kiddush luncheons, Monday night Kid's Club and Sisterhood's Purim Mishloach Manot. She was integral in overseeing three shul restorations, installation of the newest children's playground and construction of the Irwin Peyser Beit Midrash.
Jayne is grateful for having had the opportunity to serve our wonderful JCAB community. Hopefully, her attention to detail and interest in the well being of each JCAB member has made your family's JCAB experience a pleasant and memorable one!
