Christopher J. McCarthy has over 40 years of experience providing auditing and consulting services to a wide variety of health care entities including health systems, nursing homes, assisted living programs, federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), diagnostic and treatment centers and certified home health agencies. Prior to his recent retirement he served as Co-Lead of the Firm’s Health Care Practice.
In addition to attestation services, Chris’ client services include cost report preparation, third party rate analysis and appeals, assistance with third party payor audits, financial statement analysis, analysis of system controls, budgeting, quality of earnings reviews, mergers, acquisitions and assistance to Boards and Audit Committees with third party reimbursement issues. Chris has lectured extensively at health care associations on financial reporting and third-party payor reimbursement concepts.
He is actively involved in an array of accredited professional and civic organizations and previously served as a member of the Firm’s Accounting & Auditing, Administrative and Continuing Professional Education Committees. He earned his MBA from Long Island University and his Bachelor’s degree from Lehman College.
Keith Solomon, CPA

Keith Solomon is the Lead Partner of the Firm’s Health Care Practice and brings more than 30 years of experience in both public and private health care accounting.
The majority of Keith’s career consists of time spent at Big Four accounting firms, and he has had the opportunity to work with many leading health care entities in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Previously, Keith was the Manager of Budgeting for one of the largest managed care organizations in New York. He also served as the Director of Accounting Operations for two skilled nursing facilities, a home health care agency, an adult day care program and two housing companies.
Keith has managed audits of a diverse health care clientele, ranging from academic medical centers and community hospitals to health systems, managed care organizations, skilled nursing facilities, diagnostic and treatment centers, home health care agencies, rehabilitation centers, physician practices specialized in emergency room, anesthesia and radiology services as well as other specialty practices. He is considered an expert in the use of computer-assisted auditing techniques and has presented several educational seminars in this area. He has also presented accounting and auditing updates for various health care industry organizations.
Keith earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Albany.
Yossi Messafi, CPA

Yossi Messafi has over 25 years of experience in public accounting. He serves the Firm's Assurance practice and is also a member of the Firm’s Health Care and Not-for-Profit industry practice groups.His depth of experience encompasses a broad range of health care and not-for-profit entities including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health care providers, social service organizations and low-income housing entities.
Yossi performs auditing and accounting services for clients and his professional expertise includes audits under Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) and Federal Single Audit under the Uniform Guidance, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and certification of cost reports. He plans, directs and oversees all aspects of the engagement.
A graduate of State University of New York, Yossi also serves as a continuing professional education instructor for in-house training sessions and as a mentor to staff.
